Firm associate, Louis Covens, participated in the Joel Schwartz Memorial Hockey Tournament on March 9, 2014. He and his team raised over $4,000 towards supporting the Reena Foundation which is a not for profit agency dedicated to helping children, adults and seniors with developmental disabilities.
Joel Schwartz was a Reena client who died tragically on March 3, 2009, just two months after participating on a Birthright Israel trip with support from a Reena Shadow participant. In his honour and memory, the Joel Schwartz Memorial Hockey Tournament has been established to raise funds through the Joel Schwartz Inclusion Network (JOIN) to support inclusion initiatives for those living with developmental disabilities.
