Monica is a knowledgeable and trusted civil litigator with extensive experience in tort litigation matters including motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability, professional negligence, subrogated claims, property loss, product liability, and civil sexual assault.  She also has experience defending insurance coverage claims and providing insurance coverage opinions.

Following her call to the Bar, Monica started off her career at a boutique personal injury firm in Toronto representing plaintiffs. She then moved to a reputable insurance defence litigation firm in Toronto, where she was a partner and practiced for almost two decades, before joining Bruder Springstead in February 2024.

Monica has appeared as trial and appellate counsel before all levels of court, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal of Ontario.  She has been asked to speak at continuing legal education seminars hosted by The Advocates’ Society and routinely provides seminars to clients on practice-related issues.
