Mehak Verma joined Bruder Springstead LLP as an associate lawyer in March 2024. She was called to the bar in 2020, after earning her J.D from University of Windsor and completing her articles with a Hamilton Insurance Defence firm. She then worked as an associate lawyer at a personal injury law firm in Barrie, Ontario, representing Plaintiffs.

Mehak’s practice focuses on insurance law, including motor vehicle accidents (both tort and accident benefits), slip and falls, and property losses. She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and the License Appeal Tribunal.

While in law school, Mehak was actively involved in volunteering for Community Legal Aid, both a caseworker and a litigator, and being a Peer Mentor to incoming law students.

Mehak grew up in Queens, New York and can speak three languages: English, Hindi, and Urdu. She is also a talented artist and has had her art shown in galleries in Caledon and Bolton, Ontario. When Mehak is not at work, she loves to work out at the gym, read a good book, and spend time with her friends and family.
